Position Description
Columbia University’s Department of Economics invites applications for a tenure-track assistant or associate professor to begin as early as July 1, 2027. We primarily seek scholars who specialize in the areas of Finance, Labor Economics, and Macroeconomics, but may consider other fields. The responsibilities of the position include undergraduate and graduate teaching, research and publication, and institutional service. The appointment can be at a tenure-track assistant or associate professor rank. Applications received by November 13, 2026, will receive full consideration.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Economics or a related field is required at the time of appointment. Applicants should have a demonstrated ability to engage in research and teaching at the undergraduate level and show promise for future development in research and teaching at the graduate level.
