The Institute for Economic and Social Research (IESR)(https://iesr.jnu.edu.cn/Home/main.htm), Jinan University, invites applications for several International Research Fellows. This recruitment aims to bring international perspectives to enrich IESR’s research environment. Outstanding young international scholars with strong capability, originality and excellent academic achievements are encouraged to apply.

The term of appointment is three years, and no extensions are granted. Fellows shall conduct independent high-quality research, attend regular IESR academic activities including brown bag seminars, and work on-site. Collaboration with IESR faculty, advisory board members and other fellows is encouraged.

Preferred fields: Economics, AI and Statistics. Non-economist applicants in AI/statistics need to show strong interest in applying their work to economics. A brief 3-year research statement is required.

Candidates must hold a PhD obtained within the past three years or to be awarded before the position starts, with good English proficiency. The package includes competitive salary plus research and international travel funding.
