The Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia invites applications for a Senior Economist, or Economic Advisor position in the Monetary and Macroeconomics section with a focus on macro-labor, monetary policy, or international research.
Responsibilities include actively engaging in research for publication in top-tier academic journals, providing in-depth analysis for the Bank president’s policy briefings, writing occasional nontechnical articles for our quarterly Economic Insights publication, and contributing to the mission of the Bank.
Excellent research skills are vital, as are superior writing and speaking skills. Established research economists with a strong publication record in economics and finance journals and at least three years of experience in an academic or similar research setting are encouraged to apply.
The salary grade for the Senior Economist position is 20. The starting salary range for the Economic Advisor and Economist position is between $217,000 to $303,000 annually. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant's background, experience and skills, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.
