The Department of Economic Sciences at the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) invites applications for faculty positions.

For Assistant Professorship, we are interested in motivated and research-oriented candidates who are about to complete their Ph.D. by July 2027, or have completed their Ph.D. in the last five years.

Full and Associate Professorship applicants should have the required experience and a proven track record for conducting research.

The following areas are of particular interest: International Trade, Computational Economics, Quantitative Finance, Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics, Urban and Spatial Economics, and Industrial Organization. Exceptional candidates in other fields might also be considered.
