The Economics Area at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) invites applications for faculty positions at all levels from candidates with strong research credentials or potential. While we welcome exceptional candidates from all fields of economics, we are particularly interested in the following areas:

• Macroeconomics and Monetary Economics (JEL: E)
• Economic Development, Innovation, Technological Change, and Growth (JEL: O)

Qualifications

Assistant Professor:

• PhD in Economics (completed or expected by June 2027)
• Demonstrated research potential in macroeconomics
• We are especially interested in candidates specialising in macro-labour, search theory, business cycles, or macroeconomic applications of time-series econometrics
• A research agenda with strong potential for publication in top-tier journals

Associate Professor / Professor:

• All requirements listed above for the Assistant Professor level
• Strong research record with publications in leading journals
• Demonstrated academic leadership
