We welcome applications from candidates with research interests in macroeconomics, international economics, economic growth and development, or related fields. Applicants should hold a PhD in Economics or a closely related discipline or be close to completion by the start date. Those already holding a tenure-track position are also invited to apply. Candidates must demonstrate the potential to conduct high-quality research suitable for publication in leading economics journals and a commitment to excellence in teaching. About the Department

The Erasmus School of Economics is an internationally recognized research and teaching institution. Its Department of Economics maintains an active, ambitious, and collaborative research environment. Faculty members are closely affiliated with the Tinbergen Institute, one of Europe's leading graduate schools and research institutes in economics, econometrics and finance. After 5.5 years, a formal evaluation takes place with respect to research performance, teaching performance and contribution to the Department. When this evaluation is successful, you will be given a permanent employment contract, and you will be promoted to Associate Professor. When this evaluation is unsuccessful, your employment contract will be terminated at the end of year 6. In case of special personal circumstances, for instance combining work and care, the timing of the formal evaluation can be postponed.
