NHH in Bergen, Norway, invites applications for a postdoctoral position in behavioral and experimental economics at the Department of Economics, as part of the FAIR Markets research project funded by the European Research Council (Project 101267064). The duration of the position is three years.
The postdoctoral position offers a unique opportunity to join an ambitious research environment in behavioral and experimental economics and to become an integral part of the FAIR – Centre for Experimental Research on Fairness, Inequality and Rationality and the Department of Economics (FAIR) at the Department of Economics.
The successful candidate will join an ambitious new research agenda on the moral foundations of markets and work closely with Bertil Tungodden and other researchers at FAIR and The Choice Lab on projects combining experimental methods, large-scale surveys, and rich administrative data to study how people evaluate the fairness and legitimacy of market transactions. The position provides substantial scope for intellectual contribution and for developing independent research within the broader FAIR Markets agenda.
We are looking for a highly ambitious and collaborative researcher with a strong background in behavioral and experimental economics and a particular interest in questions related to fairness, markets, and public policy. The successful candidate should have excellent analytical and technical skills. The ideal candidate will combine methodological rigor with creativity and a strong motivation to contribute to high-quality research aimed at publication in leading international journals.
The department seeks ambitious candidates early in their careers. Applicants should hold, or be close to completing, a PhD degree in a business-oriented field such as economics or a closely related field from a recognised business school or university.
