The Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) invites applications for full-time, tenure-track faculty positions in economics at the rank of Assistant Professor in applied fields including but not limited to macroeconomics, industrial organization, public economics, international trade, and labor economics.

ABOUT THE SCHOOL:

Established in Beijing in November 2002, Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business (CKGSB) is China’s first privately-funded and research-driven business school. The school aims to cultivate business leaders with a global vision, sense of social responsibility, innovative mindset, and ability to lead with empathy and compassion. Today, CKGSB serves as a gateway between China and the world—helping global leaders understand China’s rapidly evolving business landscape, while supporting Chinese decision makers as they engage and grow globally. Most of our 51 faculty members held tenure or senior professorships at top business schools—such as University of Chicago, Columbia, Darden School of Business, University of Michigan, MIT, Wharton, and Yale—prior to joining CKGSB. More than half of our 25,000 alumni are at the CEO or chairman level and, collectively, they lead one fifth of China’s 100 most valuable brands. Through our unique partnerships with leading schools and companies, we have nurtured 1,188 founders of companies with at least Series A funding, including the founders of 151 unicorn companies.

Our school is headquartered in Beijing with campuses in Shanghai and Shenzhen and representatives in London, Paris, New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur and Seoul.

The school is looking for the best candidates with great research potential who are willing to grow with the most exciting business school in China. Both Chinese and non-Chinese scholars are encouraged to apply; fluency in Chinese is not essential. The school offers a compensation package that is competitive with the best North American and other leading international business schools. The school also offers generous research support.
