FutureProof Technologies is a venture-backed financial analytics startup that aims to transform finance by translating climate risk into financial risk. Working with leading climate scientists, economists, and finance experts at Stanford and UC San Diego, we are developing trailblazing climate risk analytics that are seamlessly integrated with financial valuation tools and resiliency planning.
The data scientist is a full-time position and will be play a central role in performing statistical analysis with the FutureProof team, to analyze the relationship between climate variables and financial outcomes that is our core IP and the basis of our software.
Qualifications:
- Strong skill in coding for statistical applications
- Strong knowledge of statistics and/or econometrics
- Fluency in coding in one or more of: R, Python, ArcGIS, and/or Stata
- Experience working with real-world data (e.g. working on data extraction, cleaning, analysis, and presentation)
- A degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, software engineering, systems engineering, economics, physics, or a related field
