The Behavior and Inequality Research Institute (briq) invites applications for several positions as

Postdoctoral Fellow in Behavioral Economics/Economics of Inequality

at the earliest possible date for up to two years. The working location is Bonn, Germany.

The appointment process will place emphasis on top-level research and scholarship. Candidates are expected to have a strong background in economic theory and/or expertise in empirical research.

briq was founded in 2016 and is headed by Professor Armin Falk. The institute is closely connected to the economics department of the University of Bonn. Research at briq focuses on understanding individual decision-making, belief formation and behavior, as well as the causes and consequences of inequality. Examples include the study of the foundations of decision-making, behavioral applications in the fields of public and labor economics, and the malleability of moral behavior. A particularly important research focus at briq is early childhood development and the formation of socio-emotional and cognitive skills. Moreover, briq provides a platform for top-level researchers in behavioral economics and inequality by running a visitor program, regular workshops, conferences and summer schools.

The postdoctoral fellow program aims to enable and promote outstanding research by offering administrative as well as RA support for successful candidates. Positions come without any teaching responsibilities.

briq is an equal opportunity employer.
