CEU Department of Economics and Business

Starting date: Fall 2021

Full- Or Part-Time: Full-time (40 hours/week)

Location: Vienna, Austria

The Department of Economics and Business at Central European University (economics.ceu.edu) invites applications for three full-time Open Rank Faculty positions in the areas of applied theory, financial economics and applied econometrics with a focus on machine learning. The initial contract is for 6 years; continued employment depends on outcome of review in case of Assistant Professor rank. The initial contract is up to 4 years (renewable) for the Associate Professor rank or indefinite term in case of Full Professor rank.

Responsibilities include teaching and producing high quality research. Compensation and teaching load will be competitive with top European academic institutions. Applicants should have - or be close to completing (in case of Assistant Professor applications) - a Ph.D. and demonstrate strong potential in research and teaching.
