Job Descriptions

The Business School (formerly Cass) at City, University of London is seeking candidates for positions at the rank of Lecturer, Senior Lecturer/Reader and Full Professor within the Faculty of Finance, commencing September 2021. We welcome applications in all major fields of finance.

Lecturer positions are not tenure-track but are permanent faculty positions subject only to a probationary period. Applicants for Lecturer positions should have the potential to publish in the best academic journals. Candidates for Senior Lectureship, Reader or Full Professor positions should demonstrate excellence in research.

The Finance Faculty comprises over 50 full-time and 22 visiting faculty. We take pride in teaching and research of the highest academic standard and direct practical relevance, and our research is routinely published in the top finance and accounting journals. We offer a portfolio of courses at undergraduate, specialist master’s, MBA and PhD levels. Faculty members consult and provide advice to a wide range of financial corporations in the City of London and several premier policy-making institutions, including the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank and the Bank of England.
