The Pan-African Scientific Research Council (PASRC), a scholarly body launched by the African School of Economics (ASE), invites applications for a one-year postdoctoral fellowship in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire or Cotonou, Benin. Two or more postdoctoral fellowships will be awarded to an exceptional recent Ph.D. recipient in Economics, Finance, or Statistics. Applicants must have already demonstrated outstanding scholarly achievement and excellence in teaching.

The fellowship's responsibilities include teaching one or two classes per academic year at the African School of Economics’ Abidjan or Cotonou campus, and actively participating in research, discussions, and scholarly collaborations within the Pan-African Scientific Research Council. The Post-Doctoral Fellow will participate in ongoing studies at African School of Economics and its research institutes. In addition, the successful candidate may have the opportunity to advise African School of Economics students in his/her specialty or related areas. When teaching, the successful candidate will carry a teaching rank of Assistant Professor at ASE. The Post-Doctoral Fellow will also have access to the Pan-African Scientific Research Council network and may be called upon to help organize conferences or to participate in grant applications for new PASRC research projects.
