The School of Economics at the University of Kent is seeking applications for up to three posts of Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Economics (Teaching and Research). The posts are ongoing and full time. We welcome applications from candidates with a strong research and teaching potential at all levels up to PhD in these particular fields:

  • Econometrics (especially time-series) and Data Science
  • Behavioural Economics
  • Economic Theory
  • Applied Labour or Industrial Economics

We are looking to appoint at least one of the candidates in the area of Econometrics (time-series).

Candidates must hold a PhD in Economics and have evidence of a potential for high-quality publications (Lecturer) or an established track record of publications (Senior Lecturer) in leading refereed journals. They should be able to teach to the highest standards at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Part of the Division of Human and Social Sciences, the School of Economics at the University of Kent is a research-oriented department devoted to high quality teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. Based in the brand new Kennedy Building, the school is made up of close to 40 faculty members and 40 research students. We encourage high quality and high impact research in many areas of the discipline, and provided a collegiate research and teaching environment.
