The Laboratory for the Economics of Africa's Past (LEAP) in the Department of Economics at Stellenbosch University, South Africa is seeking applications for a postdoc in Economic History.
The ideal candidate is someone who is committed to research in economic history with an interest in working on African economic history. Although this is a free-standing postdoc, the ideal candidate must be willing to work in an interdisciplinary setting and team environment.
The postdoctoral scholar's main duty will be to advance the research program in economic history at Stellenbosch. Secondary duties include supervision of one or two graduate students, guest lectures in economic history undergraduate and graduate courses, and coordination of and participation in a workshop on economic history.
The scholar will be supervised by Professor Johan Fourie (Economics, Stellenbosch) and will join a team of five other LEAP postdoc scholars.
