The Department of Finance at Aalto University School of Business is inviting applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher in Finance. This position is a part of a research project supervised by Associate Professors Petri Jylhä and Peter Nyberg and is fully funded by the Finnish Foundation for the Advancement of Securities Markets.
The ideal candidate will:
- be an independent researcher with a promising research agenda in finance, especially in asset pricing;
- have a strong background in finance, both empirical and theoretical;
- have a PhD or obtain a PhD by the start of the position, preferably in finance or economics.
The postdoctoral researcher’s primary responsibility is to conduct research in finance, especially in asset pricing. They will be expected to make contributions to the project’s overall research agenda. A key aim of the position is also to help the candidate develop and improve their independent research profile, and it should serve as a stepping stone to a future position as Assistant Professor, or equivalent, at an international research institution. The position may also involve light teaching or other duties at the department.
The fixed-term position is for two years with target starting date in August 2022.
