The Adam Smith Business School (University of Glasgow) is seeking to appoint two outstanding candidates to posts as Lecturer/Assistant Professor* in Finance. We are looking for candidates in all areas of Finance, but are particularly interested in candidates who offer research or scholarship and teaching expertise in:

  • Financial Technology (FinTech)
  • Financial Econometrics
  • Sustainable and Green Finance

Applicants will be expected to contribute to providing our students with an outstanding learning experience as well as making an outstanding international quality contribution to research and/or scholarship. These posts are open at Lecturer Grade 7 or Grade 8 as set out in the University grade and promotion criteria (see https://www.gla.ac.uk/myglasgow/humanresources/all/pay/promotion/acpromotion/acadpromo/promotioncriteria/)

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a commitment to ensuring that they can contribute to the teaching and research or scholarship aims of the Adam Smith Business School in an efficient, flexible and dynamic way. We are actively looking to recruit promising young or mid-career colleagues or staff with experience, who will be nurtured in our research active and well-resourced environment to assist us achieve our long-term goal to become a top-50 business school worldwide within the next decade.
