Established in 1832, Durham University is the third oldest university in England and listed as a top-5 UK and top-100 global university. The Department of Economics, which is one of the four departments of the vibrant Durham University Business School, is currently looking to further boost and complement its existing research strengths and capabilities. We are therefore seeking to appoint several Assistant and Associate Professors in any field of Economics. The salary is competitive and will be commensurate with the candidate’s qualifications.
Academic colleagues in the Department of Economics are supported to publish world-leading research in top-5 journals in Economics as well as in highest impact journals in their area of interest, with a focus on quality rather than quantity, together with research capacity enhancement through research income generation. We will fully support research needs including practical help such as resources to attend conferences and to fund research activity, as well as a generous research leave policy and a designated mentor.
