The University of Kent is seeking applications for the post of Senior Lecturer in Econometrics (Teaching and Research). We welcome applications from candidates with a strong research and teaching potential at all levels up to PhD in the area of Econometrics, and we are interested in candidates with theoretical and applied expertise in either Macro- or Micro-econometrics.

As a Senior Lecturer in Economics you will:

  • Contribute to teaching on the Economics undergraduate, MSc and PhD programmes
  • Contribute to the School’s research through high quality publications, impact and funding
  • Be part of the supervision team for research students
  • Undertake research and scholarship activity, independently and collaboratively

To be successful in the role you will have/be:

  • A PhD in Economics/Econometrics, or equivalent qualification
  • Convincing evidence of progress towards establishing a strong research career of world leading standing in the field of Econometrics
  • Potential to contribute to a research impact agenda and to be included in the University’s submission to a future Research Excellence Framework
  • Demonstrable experience of successful teaching at undergraduate level and a willingness to teach at postgraduate level and supervise research students

Part of the Division of Human and Social Sciences, the School of Economics at the University of Kent is a research-oriented department devoted to high quality teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate level. Based in the new Kennedy Building, the school is made up of close to 40 faculty members and 30 research students. We encourage high quality and high impact research in many areas of the discipline, and provided a collegiate research and teaching environment.
