The Department of Economics at Uppsala University is hiring for a post-doc position beginning no later than September 2024. It is a 3-year post-doc within a research program investigating the effects of structural change on the labor market. We will consider candidates with both macro/labor and applied-micro profiles.

The Department is a highly committed research department with full-scale graduate and undergraduate programs within Scandinavia’s oldest university, conveniently located only 30 minutes from Stockholm Arlanda International airport. The Department hosts several strong research groups including labor economics, macroeconomics, and public economics. The Department has a strong international reputation and has recruited on the international job market since 2008. The research environment in labor economics is among the strongest in Europe.

Applicants should have a PhD in Economics or have an expected PhD completion date no later than September 2024 and must demonstrate excellence in research. Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed virtually at the European Job Market for Economists, December 11-14, 2023. We will be interviewing candidates based in Sweden at the SNS job market.
