The Risk Management Department in the Smeal College of Business at the Pennsylvania State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in the fields of experimental, behavioral or applied microeconomics. Exceptionally well-qualified applicants at the Associate level may also be considered. The College is home to the Laboratory for Economics Management and Auctions (LEMA) and the ideal candidate should have research experience in experimental methods, whether with laboratory, field or online subject pools. A solid background in microeconomic theory is valued.

The candidate is expected to have an active research agenda that demonstrates the candidate’s potential to publish in high-quality scholarly journals. The candidate will also be expected to engage in effective teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level. Applications should include a cover letter; curriculum vitae; research statement; teaching statement; evidence of teaching effectiveness if available; and at least one research paper. The candidate must also provide at least 3 letters of recommendation.
