The ifo Institute is inviting applications for three Postdoctoral Research positions. The positions are for six years and are full-time. The salary is internationally competitive and complemented by generous annual leave.

We seek candidates who are passionate about high-quality research on policy-relevant questions, have a strong drive to further their own research agenda, and are willing to communicate their research to the public and media. We are particularly interested in candidates working in the following fields:
1) Labor Economics: Candidates who apply microeconometric methods to topics such as family, gender, immigration, education, crime, health, and others.
2) Big Data Economics: Candidates in any field of economics whose research applies state-of-the-art machine learning and causal inference methods to innovative and unconventional data.
3) Energy and/or Climate Economics: Candidates who conduct empirical research in climate and energy economics AND/OR on the transformation and modelling of energy systems.
