The Institute of Finance and Statistics at the University of Bonn is looking for a

Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Econometrics or Statistics

(E13 TV-L, 100%, 3+ years)

The postdoctoral research fellow will join the Statistics Group at the Institute of Finance and Statistics. The appointment will be for an initial period of three years with the potential for renewal. The starting date is October 1, 2024 or earlier.

The position mainly consists of conducting research, interacting with members of the group, participating in seminars and workshops, and teaching (3 hours per week during the semester, arranged flexibly). Salaries are regulated by the German Higher Education Law and will be set according to the E13 TV-L scheme. Funds for research visits, conference travel, etc. will be available.

Requirements for a postdoctoral researcher are a Ph.D. in economics, statistics, or related fields and a publishing record or evidence of potential to publish in leading econometrics or statistics journals. German language skills are not required.
