The Department of Economics (DSE) at the University of Bologna is currently accepting applications for two tenure-track positions as Assistant Professor in any area of economics, starting in the summer of 2024. We welcome applications from any field, but priority will be given to candidates specializing in the areas of Microeconomic Theory, Macroeconomics, and Environmental Economics.

The positions offer a competitive compensation package, along with a research budget, supported by the Foscolo Europe Top-up Fellowship granted by the UniCredit Foundation.

Successful candidates should publish their research in leading peer-reviewed journals, engage in teaching with a load of 30 to 60 hours per year, and enrich the intellectual environment at the DSE. Knowledge of Italian language is not required and there are no restrictions regarding the nationality of the applicants, as DSE prioritizes diversity and inclusion within its staff.

REPEC ranks the DSE among the best Economics departments worldwide, with the top position in Italy, 14th in Europe, and 41st globally.

Job interviews will be held online at the European Job Market: December 11-14, 2023.
