We offer two junior positions at the Department of Economics and Management of the University of Padua:

P1) A 2-year postdoc to join the PRIN project “Health and Wellbeing of the Elderly” (“HealthyAGE”), funded by MUR. The project will focus on the relationship between immigration and health in the host countries and the differential utilization of healthcare services between immigrants and natives. The project will also address the issue of financial wellbeing of the elderly and differences in financial risk-preferences between natives and immigrants. The gross salary will be 23,300 Euro per year (about 1,600 Euro per month net of taxes). Funding will be available for conferences and business travels over the 2-year period. Ideal candidates should be trained in economics and should be proficient in econometrics and in using STATA. The selected candidate will join the research team that includes Elisabetta Lodigiani (PI), Silvana Robone (University of Insubria), Lorenzo Rocco and Elisa Tosetti. P2) A 2-year postdoc to join the PRIN project “Board Gender Diversity and Resilience of European Firms” (“genRES”), funded by the MUR. The project will investigate the causal impact of boardroom diversity on the resilience of European Small and Medium Sized Enterprises. The gross salary will be 24.321 Euro per year (about 1,700 Euro per month net of taxes). Funding will be available for conferences and business travels over the 2-year period. Ideal candidates should be trained in economics or statistics and should be proficient in a programming language such as R or Python. The selected candidate will join the research team that includes Elisa Tosetti (PI), Francesco Moscone (Cà Foscari University of Venice), Veronica Vinciotti (University of Trento) and Alessandra Guariglia (University of Birmingham).
