The Division of Social Science, in collaboration with the Center for Behavioral Institutional Design at NYU Abu Dhabi, seeks to recruit a Postdoctoral Researcher interested in Behavioral and Experimental Economics. The appointment will begin September 1, 2024.

The ideal candidate is ambitious, self-motivated, has excellent knowledge of behavioral economics, and, by the time of appointment, holds a Ph.D. in economics, political science, sociology, or a related field. The position requires expertise in experimental methods, either in the lab, online, or in the field, and ideally, some theoretical skills. Excellent communication skills in English, the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams, and scientific creativity are essential. The position does not require teaching.

Successful applicants are expected to publish research in leading peer-reviewed journals in social science, work individually, and also in close collaboration with faculty from the Social Science Division. You would be part of an active research community, including many other postdoctoral fellows, over 70 faculty, and research groups like the Social Science Experimental Laboratory and the Center for Behavioral Institutional Design.

Appointments will be for two years, renewable for at least an additional year, conditional on a satisfactory evaluation of performance.

To be considered, applicants must submit a curriculum vitae, a research statement highlighting past and current research experience, and at least two reference letters.

Applications are handled through Interfolio (follow the link below). If you have any questions, please email Ernesto Reuben at ereuben@nyu.edu.
