The Economics Department has an opening for a tenured faculty position at the Associate or Full Professor level, with the position beginning July 1, 2025. We seek candidates with an outstanding record of scholarship and demonstrated commitment to teaching excellence. The search will focus on two broadly-defined areas of research, prioritizing candidates who are leading scholars in either behavioral economics or structural methods. For the former, the search welcomes a variety of methodologies. For the latter, the search welcomes a variety of microeconomic applications, though the use of structural methods in industrial organization is of particular interest. The committee will however take into consideration truly outstanding candidates from any field, especially key areas such as macroeconomics and international economics.
An application will include a cover letter, CV, and copies of or links to important publications or working papers. All candidates must apply online at econjobmarket.org/positions. Applicants should state in their cover letter how, through their research approaches, teaching methodology, and/or public engagement, they are prepared to advance Brown’s strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Applications must be received by September 1, 2024, to be guaranteed full consideration but will be accepted until the position is filled or the search is closed.
