The Department of Economics at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, will recruit two Assistant Professors in Economics. These are six-year tenure track positions, with a mid-term review after three years. The expected start date is September 2025. Each position will be advertised separately.

This ad is for the position in Environmental-, Behavioral, or Public economics. Within these areas, the department currently conducts research in many sub-fields such as climate change, environmental regulation and policy instruments, environmental valuation, social preferences, discrimination, social comparisons, optimal taxation, and tax compliance. A broad set of methodologies are applied, including different empirical and experimental methods, as well as theoretical analysis.

Applicants should hold, or be close to completing, a Ph.D. in Economics. Research potential will be the key selection criterion, and the successful candidate is expected to carry out research suitable for publication in highly ranked economics journals.

The teaching load is minimal; English is the primary teaching language.
