The Department of Economics and Finance (DEF) at Tor Vergata University of Rome invites applications for positions of Assistant Professor (both junior and senior) in all areas of Economics and Finance. The junior position is for Ph.D. students in the process of discussing the dissertation, for the senior position a proven publication record is required.
Both the positions are for up to six years.
The primary responsibility of an Assistant Professor is high-quality research; therefore, the teaching load is light (max 72 hours) and it is preferably allocated to graduate courses. Knowledge of Italian is not required.
Our Department is an equal opportunity employer, devoted to promoting high-quality research, seminars, and conference activities. RePEc and Tilburg University rank our Department among the top 5 institutions in Italy, and the top 10% in Europe. The Department has been recently recognized by the Italian Ministry of University and Research as one of the best economics Departments in the country and was awarded a large grant that supports an intense hiring policy at both junior and senior levels.
