The Institute of Economics and Law at the University of Stuttgart is seeking an
Assistant Professor (fixed-term) / Research Associate (m/f/d)
for the Political Economy of Global Development Lab. In the lab, we work on a range of cross-cutting economic topics such as inequality, fairness and justice views, individual and political decision-making, and (almost) all aspects of economic development. We use state-of-the-art quantitative methods, ranging from quasi-experimental and experimental methods, including field, lab, and survey experiments, to machine learning. We also specialize in uncovering new insights from unconventional data sources, especially geospatial data derived from contemporary satellites and historical sources.
We currently have ten members in the lab and are looking for a new team member with a strong drive to develop and advance their research agenda and actively contribute to our lab activities. We are committed to creating a productive research environment, providing ample support for publishing in top-tier journals, including research assistants, conference funding, and an independent budget. With our strong regional and international networks, you will have various opportunities for research stays and (international) collaborations.
