The Center for Advanced Financial Research and Analysis (CAFRAL), which is promoted by the Reserve Bank of India, is based in Mumbai, India. Its mandate is to build intellectual capacity in macroeconomics and finance and support policy analysis at the Reserve Bank of India. CAFRAL is looking to recruit up to two economist in the above fields. The economist is expected to produce high-quality research for publication in internationally reputed journals as well as support internal policy analysis. Successful candidate will be required to have excellent research and communication skills.

The current recruitment is at the Junior level - from fresh PhD’s and researchers with a maximum of 4 years’ of work experience post-PhD. The position offers an initial contract of three years. Salary and remuneration will be commensurate with industry standards.

Minimum Requirements:

Candidates must have a PhD in finance, economics, or a related discipline; or be a PhD candidate in finance, economics, or a related discipline preparing to defend dissertation. Candidates should be able to demonstrate their skills in conducting research through recent research paper(s) or a Ph.D. thesis. While applicants from other fields will also be considered, fields of particular interest to CAFRAL are financial economics, macroeconomics, monetary economics, monetary policy, and international finance.
