The IDnomics research team, based at the University of Namur and the University of Louvain, is inviting applications for a two-year postdoctoral fellowship position starting on September 1, 2025. The postdoctoral fellow will be based at the University of Louvain in Louvain-la-Neuve and work on projects focusing on the economics of identity (including gender, ethnicity and religion, among others). The position will be supervised by Prof. Amma Panin and Prof. Joseph Gomes. However, the candidate will have the opportunity to interact and collaborate with other Principal Investigators of the IDnomics research team: Guilhem Cassan, Catherine Guirkinger, and William Parienté.

Qualifications/Eligibility:

• A PhD in Economics in a relevant field is required by the start date of the contract.

• Candidates should not have resided or worked in Belgium in two of the last three years before starting the contract.

• Previous experience with field experiments or data-driven empirical research is required.

• Experience working on topics relevant to developing countries is desired.
