The Department of Economics at the University of Bonn, Germany, invites applications for

3 Assistant Professorships in Economics (all fields), W1 with tenure track

starting in 2019. The initial contract runs for three years with the possibility of renewal for another three years, subject to a positive midterm evaluation.

We invite applications from strong candidates in all fields of economics. The positions will have a reduced teaching load. Research and teaching are conducted in English. Candidates should have, or expect to complete in 2019, a Ph.D. in economics or finance and must demonstrate a strong research potential.

The professorships are part of the new Cluster of Excellence “ECONtribute: Markets & Public Policy”, run jointly by the Universities of Bonn and Cologne and funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) in the context of the Excellence Strategy. The overarching goal of the Cluster is to advance the understanding of market functions and public policy, employing innovative research approaches.
