The Department of Economics, School of Social Sciences and Philosophy is seeking to appoint 1-2 Assistant Professors in Economics, to commence on 1^st August 2019.

Successful applicants will contribute to research and teaching in the Department of Economics. The existing research strengths of the Department include development economics, international macroeconomics, and applied economics more generally (in particular, economic history, energy economics, political economy and urban economics). www.tcd.ie/Economics/research.

We invite in particular applications in the field of macroeconomics. The ideal applicant will contribute to advancing top-level research in the field of macroeconomics, particularly from an applied and policy-relevant perspective. Currently, eight academic staff contribute to the work of the International Macroeconomics research unit (IM-TCD) in the Department. Please see https://www.tcd.ie/Economics/research/imtcd/.
