The School of Economics at the University of Nottingham carries out world-leading research and teaching with an international reputation for excellence across all areas of economics.  In the latest IDEAS RePEc Ranking 2019, we rank 5th in the UK, 10th in Europe and 36th in the world.

The School of Economics invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following posts, available from 1 September 2020, or as soon as possible thereafter:

  • Assistant Professor (4 posts)

Candidates with research and teaching interests in any area of economics are encouraged to apply.

Candidates are expected to have a PhD in Economics by the time they take up the post, and to have relevant teaching experience.

Salaries for all posts will be commensurate with those offered by comparable Schools and in line with the University of Nottingham reward package.

The School will be represented at the EEA European Job Market for Economists in Rotterdam on 18th-19th December 2019 and at the ASSA meetings in San Diego on 3rd-5th January 2020.  During the events, School representatives will meet candidates.
