The Department of Economics, Kiel University (Germany) seeks to fill a position for a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the Chair of Public Economics (Prof. Dr. Sebastian Köhne).

The position is available for a period of 3 years with a possibility of prolongation. The salary is based on the German public pay scale (TV-L 14) according to previous experiences with a weekly workload corresponding to a full-time position with 38.7 hours. A qualification to habilitation or equivalent will be supported.

The compatibility of work and family and the promotion of part-time employment are in the particular interest of Kiel University. Therefore, applicants who are interested in part-time work are especially addressed.

Areas of Activity:

  • Independent research activities with a focus on public economics.
  • Cooperation in the teaching activities of our chair (teaching load: 4 weekly hours during the semester)
  • Collaboration in grant applications

We seek enthusiastic, highly motivated candidates with a dissertation in theoretical or empirical public economics and very good German and English language skills.
