The School of Management and Engineering Vaud (https://heig-vd.ch/en) provides education in Engineering and Business Administration at Bachelor, Master as well as postgraduate level.

With more than 2,000 students, it is the largest School of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Western Switzerland (https://www.hes-so.ch).

Its activities of Applied Research and Development (R&D) are carried within its institutes, centres of expertise and transversal research groups.

HEIG-VD is recruiting a Research scientist specialised in Health Economics

Attached to the Business Administration Department (www.heig-vd.ch/heg), you are involved in applied research and development (R&D) projects in the « Institut Interdisciplinaire du Développement de l’Entreprise » (https://heig-vd.ch/iide), within a team specialised in the health domain.

You carry out research projects and analyses based on strong theoretical frameworks that you would have identified and analysed in-depth. Those researches and analyses can be qualitative or quantitative and mandated by institutions, organisations or companies from the health sector.

You autonomously write synthetic reports or scientific publications and contribute to the dissemination and communication activities at a national or international level.

You ensure the project management, including all administrative and operational tasks. You coordinate the activities of internal and external project stakeholders.

DESIRED PROFILE

  • PhD or Master in Economics with a specialisation in health or other training deemed equivalent.
  • Established experience in research, including literature review, redaction of scientific reports and publications.
  • An interest to develop a qualitative and novel reflexion on the topic of organisational impacts of health technologies, user satisfaction, new care and reimbursement models etc.
  • A minimal knowledge is required on the development of user satisfaction/patient experience surveys/ PREMs/PROMs as well as the use of econometric models with latent variables.
  • Ability to deliver structured, extensive and highly qualitative academic work. Rigorous reactional skills.
  • Ability to integrate an interdisciplinary team, while being able to work independently on targeted activities.
  • Ability to work with a variety of partners from the academic and health sector, whether public and private and to communicate accordingly.
  • Fluency in French is required as it is the working language. A mastery of English (C1 level minimum: read, written and spoken) is also requested.

Activity rate : 100% or part time, to be discussed
