The Faculty of Economic Sciences in Moscow and Department of Economics in St Petersburg* invite applications for tenure-track Assistant Professor positions (both entry and advanced levels) as well as senior positions with tenure. We have multiple job openings, and the priority will be given to candidates with research areas in Macroeconomics, Finance and Applied Microeconomics. St.Petersburg has special interest in Spatial Economics (http://ces.hse.ru) and Game Theory (http://scem.spb.hse.ru/en/ilgt). The positions are open to all nationalities, and the knowledge of Russian is not required as teaching and research are conducted in English.

Requirements:
Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in economics, finance, financial economics or a related field, or be in receipt of it prior to the starting date of the contract. The successful candidate is expected to produce high-quality research publishable in reputable peer-reviewed journals. Senior candidates must have demonstrated excellence in research and teaching.
Benefits:
The salary is internationally competitive, indexed to inflation annually, and subject to a 13% flat income tax. The university offers health insurance (free of charge) and language assistance; travel support and other research assistance are generous. Since we have heavy emphasis placed on high quality research, the teaching load of newly hired faculty is relatively low and service is minimal.
