The Chair of Macroeconomics and Development (Prof. Nicola Fuchs-Schündeln, Ph.D) at Goethe University Frankfurt is seeking to fill one

Post-Doc Position in Applied Labor Economics

Latest starting date is September 1st, 2021. The position is initially limited to three years, but potentially extendable. The salary grade is based on the job characteristics of the collective agreement (E13 TV-G-U) applicable to Goethe University.

Successful applicants are expected to conduct research in the field of applied labor economics, with a desired focus on gender issues, to present their work at conferences, and to actively support activities at the chair. The applicant’s tasks will include contributions to research projects funded by ERC grant „Macro- and Microeconomic Analyses of Heterogeneous Labor Market Outcomes”.

Prerequisites are successfully completed academic studies (master degree) with a doctorate in economics. Applicants should be experts of micro-econometric methods and have experience in working with large administrative or survey data sets. An interest in gender issues would be a plus. Applicants should show strong research potential and exhibit international experience. We will conduct virtual interviews for the positions in the time frame of the 2020 job market.
