The Department of Economics (DSE) of the University of Bologna, Italy is seeking candidates for three short tenure-track Assistant Professors. Two positions are in any field of Economics and one position in Econometrics with a preferential focus in Microeconometrics.

Short tenure tracks are meant for experienced researchers. Eligibility for the position requires formal proof of *at least* three full years of post-doctoral research experience matured by January 2021. Academic positions (professor, post-doc, lecturer), or equivalent research positions in reputable private or public research departments or institutions qualify to meet the requirement. The position starts in Fall 2021 (starting date can be negotiated) and is for three years. Tenure is subject to a standard review process and can be granted as soon as after one year and no later than three years into the contract.

We offer competitive compensation and excellent working conditions (in addition to the unique amenities of the city of Bologna). The teaching load is limited to 60 hours a year and is preferably allocated to master or eligible PhD courses. Knowledge of Italian is not required.

Applications should be received by November 15th, 2020. They should include the CV, a research statement, one (or more) research paper(s), and three reference letters, and should be uploaded on the EconJobMarket website.

Candidates will be interviewed online during the virtual European Job Market organized by the EEA on December 14-18, 2020, and may subsequently be invited to give a job talk.
