NHH in Bergen, Norway, invites applicants for a tenure-track Assistant Professor/Associate Professor position for seven years in Behavioural Economics at the Department of Economics.
We are looking for an excellent economist with expected completion of PhD no later than date of commencement. In the assessment of applicants, international experience and qualifications will be emphasised. In the event of equivalent qualifications, female applicants will be given preference.
The Department has high ambitions in terms of research where the main research areas in addition to Behavioural Economics are; Labor Economics, Industrial Organization, Macro- and Resource Economics, Development Economics, International Trade and Applied Microeconomics.
The position is part of the Centre of Excellence, FAIR and the research group The Choice Lab.
Within Behavioral Economics, the new hire will be encouraged to develop an individual research agenda in collaboration with the members of the research group and contribute to the Department's long-term academic development. The position will involve a competitive teaching load, which also includes graduate supervision and administrative duties. Faculty members at NHH are expected to be good teachers. Candidates hired in a tenure track must take one basic module of the programme for university pedagogy in the course of the fixed-term period.
The position is based in Bergen, but research travel will be encouraged and there are also opportunities for research stays at collaborating institutions.
