Research Associate or Postdoctoral Associate (m/f/d): (50% - 100%, salary/remuneration group TV-L E13, limited to 3 years, with the option of an extension)
Our research focuses on insurance market economics, as well as individual and organizational behavior under risk and uncertainty with a specific emphasis on risk management and insurance decisions.
The Institute for Risk Management and Insurance is part of the Munich Risk and Insurance Center (MRIC), which aims to support research activities in the field of risk management and insurance by creating an international platform for scientific cooperation and providing infrastructure for an active exchange between academia and industry.
Requirements:
As a research associate or postdoc associate, you are expected to engage in research, teaching and academic self-administration.
Ideally, the candidate has a Master’s degree with distinction on the university level / PhD in business administration, economics, mathematics, statistics or a related field. We highly recommend an excellent command of English. We are looking for a candidate with evidence of strong research potential and expertise in one or more of the following fields: insurance economics, decision theory, risk management, behavioral economics.

You will be part of a dynamic and motivated team in the Finance & Insurance Cluster of the LMU Munich School of Management. We cooperate with researchers from all over the world. Your office will be located on the main campus of the LMU in Maxvorstadt near the city center.
