Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d) in Trade and Industrial Organisation or in Empirical Industrial Organisation or in Competition Policy (100%, pay grade 13 TV-L)

The duration of the positions is initially limited to two years, starting on October 1st, 2022 or later, and with the option of an extension. The fixed-term nature of the contracts is based upon the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (WissZeitVG) with the objective of promoting the scientific qualification of the academic employees.

The successful candidate conducts research and teaching (teaching in German is not required) in the field Trade and Industrial Organisation or in Empirical Industrial Organisation (with a slight preference for researchers focusing on consumer behaviour) or in Competition Policy.

Candidates must have completed a master’s degree in Economics or a related discipline with outstanding grades. A PhD in a relevant field is required. We expect very good knowledge of theoretical and empirical economic methods and excellent command of the English language.

The exact salary will depend on the personal qualification of the applicant up to EG 13 TV-L. Appointments may also be part-time, provided there are no overriding administrative reasons in individual cases for requiring full-time employment.
