The University of Stavanger Business School is seeking candidates for one assistant or associate professor position in economics with competence and experience in conducting field experiments. We will consider economists working within empirical labor economics, economics of education and behavioral economics, that can contribute to strengthen our research group in applied economics. A strong research background is desirable, including the ability to publish in highly recognized international journals.
The position is a part of Synapse Lab, a research group committed to develop and investigate interventions that can give people better opportunities to succeed in education and the workplace. Specifically, the researchers investigate measures that help increase effort, motivation and coping in education and work, using large-scale field experiments. It involves the Faculty of Social Science, the UiS Business School, the Faculty of Arts and Education, and the Faculty of Health Sciences.
