The Research Department of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is seeking to hire up to two research economists with outstanding research records who are eager to contribute to the monetary policy advising process at the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. The successful candidates will regularly interact with senior policymakers at the bank on topics related to monetary policy and will have exceptional verbal and written communication skills. The successful candidates will also have an established research agenda and a demonstrated ability to balance research with policy advising responsibilities associated with the FOMC policy cycle. We are seeking candidates with a PhD and at least 5 years of post-PhD experience at an academic or policy institution.

The Department maintains an excellent research environment and provides substantial support for research and travel. The Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta is the site of the Atlanta Federal Statistical Research Data Center, which provides restricted access to non-publicly available Census data.
