The Amsterdam School of Economics (ASE) at the University of Amsterdam seeks applicants for the position of Associate Professor in Environmental Economics.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have a PhD degree in Economics and a proven track record of research publications in top-level academic journals. Applicants must also have a proven experience in teaching at all levels and in the management of courses and curricula. We seek candidates with a high level of creative and independent research, and a willingness and ability to create and lead a team in the field of environmental economics.

OUR OFFER
Associate Professor appointments are tenured positions after a one-year trial period. The ASE offers competitive European salaries. The gross monthly starting salary as Associate Professor will typically be, depending on experience and potential, between €5,506 and €7,362 (salary scale 13 or 14 ) + 16.3% holiday and end-year payments. This is based on 38 hours per week and in accordance with the salary scales and the collective labor agreement regulating employment conditions at Dutch universities. Researchers from outside the Netherlands can apply for a five-year tax-free allowance equal to 30% of their taxable salary. The University of Amsterdam (UvA) offers a very attractive pension scheme. The teaching load is moderate, and all teaching is in English. We also offer assistance in finding accommodation and career support for partners.
