The Finnish Centre of Excellence in Tax Systems Research (FIT) at Tampere University seeks to appoint 1-2 three-year fixed-term postdoctoral research fellows starting September 2023. Complete applications including cover letter, CV, job market paper, research statement and at least 2 letters of recommendation should be submitted by 25 November 2022.

We seek a researcher to carry out postdoctoral research, and therefore preference will be given to candidates who are close to completion or have recently completed a PhD in economics. The applicant’s research interests should be aligned with the goals and the broad research areas of FIT and may include methodological and/or theoretical themes that complement or bring in new perspectives to FIT, but the precise field of specialization is open. Within the FIT research program, we study many topics related to public policy, and are therefore interested in research focusing both on traditional themes in public economics, as well as all fields of economics related to the research themes of FIT (e.g. labor economics, environmental economics, health economics). We expect the candidates to give research-based teaching (no more than 5% of annual work time).
