Ca’ Foscari University of Venice invites expressions of interest for a Senior assistant professorship (“ricercatore a tempo determinato tipo b, rtdB”) in the Department of Economics. This is a three years tenure track position. Tenure will be granted based on positive evaluation of the department and on obtaining the Italian national habilitation to associate professorship.
The candidate is expected to carry out empirical research within the broad field of Economic Policy, Political Economy and Agricultural Economics. More in detail, the candidate must be capable of carrying out analyses on the dynamics of the (hard and soft) commodity markets and of the agri-food sector, on the sustainable development of rural and marginal areas, on the use of scarce natural resources and on the impact assessment of extreme weather events. The solid knowledge of quantitative approaches and the use of econometric and quantitative tools will be required.
The Department offers entire courses of study taught in English both at undergraduate and graduate level, therefore knowledge of Italian is neither required nor advantageous. The candidate will be required to teach course both at the undergraduate and graduate level in Economic Policy, Commodity markets and European and international Agricultural Policy.
