The Monash Department of Economics seeks expressions of interest from scholars of international distinction for appointment as Associate or Full Professor. Compensation will be internationally competitive. In support of our research and impact objectives, the Department offers low teaching loads and generous funding for travel and research.
Multiple positions are availalble, and macroeconomics is one priority area. While field is open, some emphasis is placed on a research focus that will be relevant to post-covid economic and social recovery including such areas as public economics, labour economics, innovation and the digital economy. Applicants should have an excellent research record of consistently publishing in leading international journals, strong evidence of research impact, an outstanding teaching record, and capacity to raise external grants.
Monash Business School has enormous resources and capabilities extending to all Economics and Business related disciplines. In addition to the Economics Department, Monash hosts the Department of Econometrics and Business Statistics, the Centre for Health Economics, and the Centre for Development Economics and Sustainability, and SoDaLabs.
