Tenure-Track Assistant Professor - Economics
King’s University College at Western University (King’s), a Catholic Liberal Arts College situated on the traditional territories of the Anishnaabek, Haudenosaunee, Lūnaapéewak, and Chonnonton peoples, invites applications for a tenure-track Appointment in Economics at the rank of assistant professor, effective July 1, 2023, subject to budgetary approval.
We are seeking candidates who will complement our existing strengths in applied microeconomics. We especially encourage those with expertise in microeconomics, international trade, industrial organization, health economics, environmental economics to apply; however, serious consideration will be given to exceptional candidates in other fields. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Economics or be near completion. Candidates should provide evidence of strong research and publishing ability in Economics or provide evidence of their potential for excellence in both research and teaching.
About the economics and finance program at King’s: The economics and finance department offers a range of honours, specializations, and majors in the areas of economics and finance in in the School of Management, Economics, and Mathematics at King’s. The economics and finance area includes seven full-time faculty who are dedicated teacher-scholars and who work collaboratively on research projects and program development. The economics and finance program is robust and well-established. In addition, students enjoy the smaller class sizes, easy access to engaged faculty, and the intimate campus feel offered at King’s combined with a Western University degree and the full range of resources available to Western students.
